I just noticed that I Have The Power no matter what forum.
So I took care of nikejordanaaa everywhere he appeared.

I got one earlier in “cheap flights” and just got one in “guide books.” Deleting a post slows the site down to a crawl for me, so it’s not much fun deleting these posts.

Hopefully an administrator can ban him/her soon.

Just got three — “night life” “solo women” and I don’t know where else. At least he/she isn’t on-line anymore, so maybe this will stop.

The site is always slow for me…..I dont know why….every page hangs up for atleast 30 seconds before loading the next page…. Just happens on this site.

that is kind of strange. it is not like that for me at all. can you give me the following so i can test what may be causing the problem on your setup? thanks…

Browser with version (eg: Firefox 3, IE6, IE7, etc…)
Operating System (eg: Mac 10.5, Windows Vista, etc…)
Is the site slow on specific actions or pages, or is it the whole site?

The site is getting slower and slower for me. It used to be that it was only slow if another moderator or frequent posted showed up in the “on-line” list, but now it’s all the time. It was slow for me at 3:00 AM today with only me and a handful of guests on-line.

I have Internet Explorer 7 and Windows Vista Home. It is slow on every page, all the time. I have almost stopped coming because of how slow it is……sorry I havent said anything

It’s probably faster for you, swill, because you’re onsite. I’ve had problems with the speed using IE7, IE8 and firefox invarious versions. I’m using “The World” browser now and it seems to be the fastest. Deleting is a pain because it can be very slow. I’ll try to watch for more specifics.

FYI – It took about 8 seconds for the previous post to post after I hit the submit button.

Still slow as heck for me.

It’s weird for me…it’s always slow to load for the first time, but going page to page isn’t always so bad. Regardless, there still is a problem with slowness, and this is going to scare users away, they just won’t want to bother with it.

Cil, that is what is happening now to me. Much better than it was. Real slow to first get on the site but then page to page isnt too bad….

Cil, ncmickey, etc… thanks for all the feedback on this. i am trying to make it a priority to get eurotrip on some better hardware and do a complete once through of the code to see if i can find bottle necks and speed them up.

now that the Eurotrip Planner (Itineraries) is live, i will have some more time to work on issues like this.
