WDYT? The latest post in “guidebooks” recommends this website http://milanlowcost…. which appears to be just a blog of advertising. The poster seems to be association with the site somehow…

Yeah, one on cheapflights too. I read through his “blog” and it’s half advertising (4 column wide layout and 2 are google ads). I clicked on a couple of his links, and one for low cost airlines actually goes to ETN which is a good source (and no affiliate code in the URL that I noticed). Then again, it was not solicited—no one had asked for low-cost air service from Milan, and it’s mostly ads, so I thought to leave it for now, and give better info for anyone actually looking for cheap flights from Milan (I made a link to Whichbudget’s Italy page). Just my 2 cents, but the final call is of course mim’s (or swill’s?).
My opinion is to delete them. There are two posts and they both advertise this site. Many of these sites with ads are set up so that companies get paid per click on an ad.
I might not have a problem with these types if they were contributing posts in other areas like the pub and other forums. Whether it’s helpful or not I think it’s spam as it’s unsolicited advertising.
Eat the food, use the wrong verbs, and end up getting charged double.
Yea, this has been a tactic of spammers for a while now (including Contiki). Let’s toss ‘em.
