Two “suspect at best” goali int’f calls, and Kronwall scores for the Pens… That’s how! The Wings once again dominate a game #5 (JINXGAMEEVERYYEAR) at home, but lose… They’ll hoist the Cup Weds nite in Pitt-Stink!
They’ll see the deal on Wednesday but it would have been great to see them win in Detroit. Crazy game and I stayed up for every minute. Too bad the result wasn’t to my desire. The Redwings have been the victim of too many suspect calls during the playoffs. It’s almost like the NHL wants them out.
I think it will end Weds. nite. However, if it does not; my flight lands in Motown at 1420 hrs. I have tix in Row 14, Sec #120 (near cen ice) for game #7…
The Herr never told me one of his travel buddies was a Redwings fan. Now I wouldn’t hurt too bad if they lost tonight so you could see them hoist the Cup in person…in Motown. How did you manage to get those tickets?
I think that I am relieved more than anything. I purchased Travel Insurance on my airfare, so I can cancel this morning.. Also, I will get refunded thru Ticketmaster for game #7 tix, etc. Overall, it saved my about $750 wth rental car & beer, etc. Also, I am not sure my nerves could handle a game #7, when Detroit was obviously better, should have ended it in 5 or 6 games…. But, the better team usually finds a way to win, as the WIngs did tonight.
Yoj: Those tix were very expensive, and I got them on Ticketmaster from a season ticket holder.. RRW.com members get first crack, so I actually only paid $100 over face value($200),, so $300 ea. It would have been a great experience, and I feel the Wings would have won it anyway.. However, after being within 34 secs of winning the thing in 5 games, juts playing a game #7 would have been a very nerve-racking experience! Oh well, I saw a round #2 game & two reg. season games this year, and saved about $750 by not going to #7 of the Finals… G O W I N G S ! ! !
