I will be Traveling from Munich to Prague then to Budapest, what are the best/cheapest options for traveling rail or bus or a combo?
I am leaving from New Orleans with $1300 for 48 days
Nuremberg, Berlin, Vienna, Munich, Bratislava, Budapest, Dublin

If anyone can help with that and also Travel to Dublin in Mid July.

I would probably do Munich-Prague-Budapest by rail. I don’t think the bus will be enough cheaper to be worth it. I would look for a cheap flight to Madrid. Use www.whichbudget.com to see which budget airlines fly which routes and check the “cheap flights” forum for tips.
So I just figured out that my budget for the trip is about 1200 dollars (not including flights) in about 12 days. Do you think that is enough for the traveling I have laid out and to get to madrid or dublin to fly back home or am I being unrealistic? Or am I over estimating? Also, If you absolutely had to choose (for me a 22 year old male), Budapest or Prague? Any help I could get would be great!!!

With that much for 12 days you can live like a king.
Bath, Haltwhistle, London, Füssen, Freiburg, Stuttgart, Speyer, Nördlingen, Salzburg, Hallstatt, Salzburg, Rome, Ostia Antica, Athens, Delphi, Athens
Thanks so much for your help! I am so glad to know that I am not being unreasonable. Also should I buy a pass before I go for the rails or since I have no definite plans should I wait and buy city to city passes while I am there. Thanks again. Also for my own purposes what is your opinions on Prague or Budapest.
