Ok, my head is starting to spin. I am trying to find/book a flight from Sweden to Croatia (return trip). We will be in Gothenburg (but flexible for flying out of Stockholm). I’m a little overwhelmed with what I’ve found. Most flights are with 1 or 2 more stops and sometimes the stops are 8 or more hours. A good deal is having the total trip time taking only 10 hours. Most flights are over $200 (one way).

So then I find a flight with Norwegian Air Shuttle – Flight DY3861, Stockholm Arlanda (ARN) to Dubrovnik (DBV) for $92 and Total Trip Time: 2hr 55min with bookingbuddy. Is this too good to be true? (I know I still need to find the return fight)

Mind-spinning-ly yours,
Keleti

I have flown Norwegian.no and that’s a typical advance purchase special fare with them. If you will be in Goteborg and could travel to Stockholm to fly, then Oslo (Rygge and Gardermoen), Malmo, and CPH would probably also be airport options for you, right?

Skyscanner might help. I set it from all Sweden to all Croatia for entire month of June; you can easily update month or narrow down cities there.

Skyscanner also found Ryanair from Rygge (southeast Norway — relatively close to Swedish border) to Zadar in June for $15 USD round-trip — plus Ryanair bag fees, checkin fees, etc. I see good offers from CPH too. CPH is on the train line from Gothenburg. You can also get fairly close to Rygge Airport by train from Goteborg too (taxi or bus rest of the way); looks like Halmstad is the closest station, with Swebus and Expressbus also on the route.

Ryanair also flies from Stockholm to Zadar last time I checked! What days are you looking to fly so that I can really look for you?

I am leaving from Atlanta, GA with $3000 for 36 days
Amsterdam, Hamburg, Berlin, Prague, Mostar, Sarajevo, Bol, Makarska, Florence, Málaga, Seville, Barcelona, Ibiza Town

We’ll be flying on August 5th. 90% sure. Just found out we can fly home from Croatia and don’t have to go back to Sweden, which is good, so just the one flight. Thanks for the info so far!

In that case: http://www.skyscanne…

For the open-jaw (multi-city, arriving one airport but returning from a different airport — in Croatia in this case) be sure to shop around and be as flexible as possible with your travel dates. Kayak, Expedia, and Cfares all have good multi-city flight searches (and Mobissimo, Momondo, Travelocity, Orbitz, etc.).

Ok, just confirmed itinerary. We will be flying to Croatia on August 5th. I’m looking for the best combination of cheap and short travel time. We have to drop the car off in Gothenburg and we have to catch our flight out of Europe on August 15 in Zagrab. So it’d be nice to land in the south and work our way north.

So here is the ideal plan.
August 5th Gothenburg to Dubrovnik (first choice).

But as we’ll probably have to fly or bus it to Zagrab from where ever we end up. So, flying into Zadar (third choice) or Split (second choice) are second options.

As well, we could also probably rearrange part of our Sweden trip so that we could fly out of Stockholm.

I’m going to do some research this weekend but if you have any amazing ideas, I’d appreciate it! Smile
