tickets to Liverpool game?
Mon, 02/22/2010 - 10:19
My fiance would LOVE this. We live in Canada and are going next year. The scheudle for 2011 is not out yet, but when it is we want to buy tickets for a game.
What is the best way to do this? I hear it can be pretty impossible to get…any ideas to boost our chances? He is signing up for the fan website so hopefully that helps!
I am leaving from Canada with $5000 for 38 days
Amsterdam, Hanover, Berlin, Munich, Zürich, Lucerne, Rome, Florence, Paris, Bruges, Lille, London

Hey, its not that difficult.
Depending on if its just a premier league game (within the UK) or a EUFA game which is throughout Europe. Generally you can walk into a fan store in liverpool (red, green, white are their colors) and they will have the schedule. The best way to buy tix is show up to the game an hour before and buy them there, you need a passport of some sort of ID.
You can also buy tickets in advance online here http://www.oleole.co… but im not sure if they ship them to Canada.
Yoour fiance is cool guy if he loves soccer. Such a shame thats not as popular in the states, I played in the Eccellenza leauge for AC Fiorentina
Paris, Amsterdam, Rome, Florence
It is s shame it is not here in Canada! We watch it lots though…thank goodness for Setanta Sport Channel!
Oh wow, I just thought it would be more difficult to get…I spose it also depends if it’s against a certain team? I can’t wait until the schedule is posted! We are planning our trip around that (landing in London and then going to Liverpool from there). After that, we leave for the rest of Europe.
Very cool that you play!! I must say I am not knowledgeable with the teams, I will mention it to him!

Ya, in NY we have Fox Soccer Channel but im used to calling it calcio or football.
Anyways, it depends on the league which is playing. For example, in north america, we have the MLB which is Pro and then the minor leagues. In Europe, most countires have a few pro leagues and then the inter-european league where all the euro teams play each other. Italy, for example where I played, you have Serie A which is like the MLB, then Serie B, Prima, Seconda, Serie D…
You also have the inter euro league which is called EUFA, which is the most expensive and hard to get tickets.
In Englad, there is the Premier League which is like the MLB, but you also have Football League Championships, Football League 1, Football League 2….
Hit up a premier league game, try to see Mancheshter United or Chelsea play Liverpool, those are the craziest games.
Paris, Amsterdam, Rome, Florence
Yes, those are the 2 he would love. When does the new schedule come out? I am thinking only in the summer/fall of this year? Can’t wait, since we are planning our whole trip around that, so once I know that I can start planning other stuff
Amsterdam, Hanover, Berlin, Munich, Zürich, Lucerne, Rome, Florence, Paris, Bruges, Lille, London
When are you planning on being in England?
Might I recommend adding Florence to your list of cities to visit, in my experience it is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe.
Paris, Amsterdam, Rome, Florence
I wish we had the time
I think I will try to add another week to this trip! hehe
And we will be there March 2011.
