Off Topic Posts

I was just noticing that lately there have been a lot of people posting off topic. We should keep an eye on that and move those off-topic posts to the appropriate forums. Thanks again for all your help, guys.
I am leaving from New York, NY and traveling for 63 days
Reykjavik, London, Paris, Berlin, Lviv, Odessa, Bat'umi, Akhalts'ikhe, Tbilisi, Telavi, Kayseri, Pamukkale, Kusadasi, Istanbul

This might be a daft question, but is there a way (mod. button, feature, etc.) to move a post to a different forum? Or do we have to copy and paste and reconstruct it?
https://flightfox.co…
I always found it frustrating when I couldn’t take care of stuff that wasn’t in my forum.
Don
There used to be a way of moving topics before, and maybe I am crazy, but I don’t see it now. And yes, there have been a lot of transport/lodging posts in Fave Places and other fora.
MIM or anyone else who can help:
Is there something that Don and I are not seeing?
I am scared I’ll screw it up somehow.
not daft at all, don
to move an off topic post, edit the original post by clicking on the ‘pencil and paper’ icon. In the edit window, there is a pull down menu that lists all of the forums — all you have to do is change the forum to where you want the post to go.

That sounds simple enough, thanks, Mim!

Um, would you mind if I moved your South America post?
It kind of doesn’t set the greatest Eurotrip example.
I was thinking of making up a little primer like Auher’s, and one of the things I was going to mention was that it would be helpful if people post their topics in the correct forum.
Yea, I was just going to say that… I would encourage you guys if you have the time to make a primer or guide especially for the more active forums. I think a good template you can use is that of the guidelines I made for this forum. The next step is to find a way to make a sticky out of them……….

Haha, go right ahead Cil. I see what you mean. It’s just hard not to when we all know that it’s easier to get more info from "Favorite places" rather than "Rest of the World".
I’ve got lots of info now, so move away.
I just realized I can move it myself
It’s all done.
On 2nd thought, I could use some help. Mim, can you combine my 2 SA threads that are both in the "Rest of the World" forum now.
Thanks!!
Agreed. General discussion belongs in the Pub, not very specific conversations.
