I seriously think this was done on purpose.

I went to the train station in Vienna this summer and bought a ticket to Brussels. I made a reservation for a specific day and seat. A few days later, I went to get on my train. I sat down, and the conductor came, looked at my ticket, stamped it, then asked if I would mind moving because they were doing something to that cabin. He told me exactly where to sit, even though the train was just about empty. Half an hour later he came back and specifically asked to see my (no one else’s) ticket again. He said my reservation was for the wrong day and I would have to pay a fee in cash. I did, rather pissed off, and he did not give me a receipt. Now, do you think this was a scam pulled between the conductor and the ticket window guy? I KNOW I said the right day when I bought the reservation.
