For our eurotrip part of the trip is to ibiza from barcelona and then to maybe valencia? We were wondering what is the best way to get to these place/cheapest?
Any help would be awesome, thanks!

I am leaving from Miami with $3000 for 35 days

Skyscanner — BCN-IBZ: Ryanair, Vueling, Spanair, Iberia. Some around $40 one-way total in June.
IBZ-VLC $108 one-way total select June dates.

Ferry is an option, but seems to be more expensive than the prices Don found. Here’s a link to one of many travel agencies that deal in ferry tickets: http://www.directfer…
I like this company for research purposes because the site is pretty user friendly in English. I doubt you’ll find much variance in prices, but I’d shop some other travel agencies and check the websites of the actual ferry companies before I bought ferry tickets.

I thought of ferries, but maybe had this misconception that they take much longer. A quick search looks like at least one fast-ferry started in 2004, cutting Barcelona-Ibiza from about 9 hours, down to about 4.

At 4 hours, you’re probably doing better than flights — when you consider total time invested. If you’re staying close to center or harbor, then boarding the ferry won’t require taking the train back out to the airport (very easy, btw). And, ferry will more likely drop you closer to where your hotel or hostel will be located. Compared to flights… transport to airport (time+expense), checkin, security, at gate 30? minutes early, flight time ~ 1 hour, arrival, baggage claim, transport time + expenses to hostel…. Ferry might be better if you can get the fast one, and if cost keeps it competitive vs. flight options.

According to wikitravel, there are 3 year-round ferry services: Trasmediterranea, Balearia, and Iscomar.

Wow thanks so much(:
We decided that we had to cut Valencia cause of the cost so now we are just taking the plane, the ferry prices were hard to find and couldn’t be booked yet and I just wanted it out of the way, again thanks for all the help!
