Travel from Paris to Switzerland
Mon, 09/14/2009 - 02:49
I will travel to Paris, Rome, Venice and Switzerland between 17th oct to 24th oct.
Can you suggest the best and the cheapest way to travel? i would like to enjoy the scenic beauty in the transit, if that doesnt come for an additional cost.
Should i opt for Eurorail.
I am leaving from London with $1500 for 8 days

With the exception of Rome to Venice, these are terribly long train rides — too long for scenery to be much of an issue, IMO. I would look for a cheap flight from Paris to Rome, train to Venice and overnight train to your destination in Switzerland.
umm….there are 4 hour trains from paris to zurich for about 70 euros.
I do not know why you would want to take a plane and an overnight flight.
Amsterdam, Hamburg, Berlin, Prague, Mostar, Sarajevo, Bol, Makarska, Florence, Málaga, Seville, Barcelona, Ibiza Town

Ohh! I am very sorry. I was confused by the title and did not read carefully enough. I thought it was Paris to Switzerland that the poster was asking about!
My apologies.

I just did Venice-Milan-Lugano-Zurich and while it’s about a 7hr train the the portion between Lugano and Zurich is a beautiful ride.
Cheers
