visiting berlin on Dec 24th
Sun, 12/13/2009 - 15:51
Hi,
A group of 3 will have an unexpected visit to Berlin on the Dec 24th at noon. We will be there for only 24 hours. I know that most places will be closed at that time. Is there anything to possibly see or do on our visit?
Thank you
I am leaving from NYC with $1000 for 9 days
Oslo, Berlin, Cologne, Paris, London

Usually, I’d be giving dire warnings about everything (including food markets, cafes, hostels) being closed and no public transit, but this shows that there actually are things open and public transit runs on Christmas day in Berlin. http://frankly-cross… Also check www.tripadvisor.com
I would verify the check-in/check-out procedure for your hostel/hotel in advance in case the front desk is only open on a limited schedule. I’d also try to check public transit schedules if you need to get to the train station or something on Christmas day. Even if transit is operating it probably won’t be the normal schedule.
Thanks a lot!
