Where is best to visit?
Wed, 06/27/2012 - 18:38
Hey guys I’m 18 years old and planning on doing a eurotrip with my friends after highschool next year. We’re mostly interested in western european countries such as holland, spain, italy, etc. But we are open to hear about all the best places to go in europe. I am looking to visit about 5 countries in europe. I hope to go to places with great culture, nice views, and especially places with a great night life. I am open to all opinions that you may have so please- let me know!

What you will see and do depends on time, budget, and personal preference. Are you saving money now? How long do you anticipate your trip might be? Go to the library and look at the guidebooks and see what inspires you. We can offer advice, but there are lots of places that fit your broad description of great culture, nice views etc.
The best place to visit is the place that intrigues you, and appeals most.
If you are leaving on your trip right after school, maybe you could begin Amsterdam, then go south.
if you are in Stockholm, apartb from traditional sightseeing tours i would reccomend you to visit one very special place for me – Cosmonova. It is a huge Imax cinema that has 3d and 360 view effects. When you are there it feels like you are flying between stars and planets and the coolest thing is that you don’t even have to wear those annoying glasses. It is primarily educational but it is hell of fun
Western Europe is fine, but one cannot go to Europe and not travel to Italy.
Also, there are a lot of amazing countries going more to the east too, Hungary is great, but so is Poland or the Scandinavian countries. If you prefer the heat, go to Croatia, simply wonderful!

I agreed with you that Western Europe is a good one for travelling but I suggest you that travel with a group is better than travel alone for the first time at there. Spain is a great place for visitors and tourist and has much attractions.

First of all thank you for your help! Western Europe is what I am most interested in and of course I will be traveling in a group (about 4 or 5 of us, is that okay?). We are most interested in Italy, Spain, and Amsterdam so far. Although I am quite interested in England, France, Denmark, and Germany as well. Can you tell me what you know about all these countries that may suit a group of 18 year old guys on vacation? Also how long do you think our trip should be? And how many countries would we realistically be able to visit? Any comment or advice will help. I appreciate it!
I say eastern Europe, come on, people, have anyone of you been to Poland or Ukraine, remember both countries that hosted EURO 2012? it is absolutely fantastic there: beautiful nature, astonishing architecture, more than a thosand years of history. LOike Kyiv that used to be a capital of Kievan Rus(Kyiv Empire) 15 00 years ago, it is so much culture, delicious food, cheap and nice places and of course beautiful women^)
I did a euro trip after my senior year high school with my 5 best friends… best time of my life.
Amsterdam is a must
Munich is a must
not often recommended but Marseilles for me was my favorite city. think a mix of Orlando and Paris…
Paris, Nogent-le-Rotrou, Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, Munich, Paris
is the trip you attached the one you did? I just want to make sure that wherever I go I’ll be able to enjoy it as an 18 year old. Of course 18 is the legal age in europe but I don’t want to feel out of place as I see that mostly everyone backpacking is in their 20s and therefore having a better time than me. Is Europe the right thing? what did you make your budget for a 15 day trip? what is enough?
THANKS FOR THE HELP !!
