Which parts of london to avoid staying in?
Tue, 06/28/2011 - 06:51
im travelling with my bestfriend to London in August. Looking for something cheap and semi-clean (atleast!!) wondering which parts i should look at in terms of hostels, we’re only 19 so don’t want to get stuck somewhere dodgy!
Thanks
gm

I stayed at Clink261 (http://www.hostelboo…) when I was in London and I found it clean and safe with a good continental breakfast and kitchen. It’s a great hostel to stay in if you’re catching a plane out of Gatwick or taking an international train because it is right next to Kings Cross/St. Pancras station. However, some of the rooms are rather cramped, which is to be expected considering that it is in London. Also, the hostel was rather close to some clubs which made it very difficult to sleep some nights.
I heard that the London Eye Hostel is absolutly terrible and was really gross, I would avoid it..
Hope that helps

No problem, if you’re staying in other parts of the UK, I can give you advice about Bath, York, and Edinburgh.
