I need some advice from those of you who have experienced this crazy party. Is one supposed to wear white clothing throughout the entire festival? Does this unspoken "dress code" carry over into the evening as well? In other words, what did you all wear to the clubs in the evening – - White (or probably wine-stained clothing) or black dressy???

I’m sure it goes without saying that a money belt (versus that neck pouch thing) is one’s best bet to pesky pick-pocketers ….. Girls, how did you conceal that damn thing under your clothes at the clubs?

I do not want to pack a lot of clothes, nor do I want to spend a lot of money on clothing that I will probably throw out (thinking of shopping at the local thrift store). Any advice will be appreciated.

My lovely white ‘wine stained’ t-shirt, everytime I wear it, it brings back happy memories. If you are there for the opening street ceremony, I wouldn’t wear anything that you would not want ruined, loads of Sangrai and flour, so be careful in what camera you might want to take photos with, Cannot recall any dress code for after the running of the bulls each day, i.e. nightclubs as we just went back to the campground bar each day

Hi,

As for the white, it does not have to be anywhere near elegant. An old plain t – shirt and some really cheap pants are in line. Some people however, continue to wear white throughout the festival. So for the bull run, chupinazo … the actual party itself, you will want to wear the cheap white outfit.

Later for clubs in the evenings, you will also be well – suited in a casual white outfit. The atmosphere we are talking about in clubs is not as festive (although some are).

Basically it is good to wear the traditional white throughout the festival. One outfit of white would be for partying and a casual one for evenings at a club. This also depends on the club you are at. Some are really crazy and others are more settled. People generally wear a pair of jeans and a t-shirt with the &quotañuelo". Don´t worry about it though. With two outfits, I am sure you are fine!
