Any ideas on where I could take a foreign language and also get internship credit for working in the computer field?
Thanks,
MB
Eat the food, use the wrong verbs, and end up getting charged double.

Internship credit for where? Do you mean your school? And "computer field" is kind of vague. Hardware, software, telecommunications, development, project management, tech support? What is your level of education?
International internships are difficult because of the VISA and work permit requirements. VISA requirements varies depending on the country, but you almost always have to be sponsor by the company. And in many cases you need at least a B.Sc. in a related field.
To get credit for it at school, the school probably needs to "approve" the internship placement.
As the idea of the internship is to learn the industry in a limited amount of time, throwing in the language differences would make it difficult. I doubt many companies would make the added investment of arranging for work permit & language studies.
A good place to start is to talk with the person in charge internships at your school/department. Also look at the HR pages of some of the companies in the field you are interested in. Many big companies have a "University Relations" department to hire interns & co-ops.
Dear MB,
I run a website – www.IIEPassport.org that lists all sorts of international education opportunities.
Our advanced search allows you to search by field of study and internships.
Here’s the link for the advanced search:
