Worth the stop?
Thu, 01/05/2006 - 17:40
My girlfriend and I were looking into this festival. We have done some research on it and it sounds quite interesting. Is it worth a stop in Pamplona for the festival? Should we make it a day trip? Any advice from someone who has experienced it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I had a great time during my trips there. It can be really tough and expensive to find a place to stay in Pamplona, and it gets pretty chilly at night, so sleeping in a park or whatever could be quite unpleasant if you don’t have a sleeping bag etc. A good idea is to stay in San Sebastian and take the bus to Pamplona, party, then head back to where you’re staying in San Sebastian. I think you had said you were planning on travelling until late June; if so you won’t be able to attend the festival because it’s in July.
Yes you have to do it, but I agree with augustin25, you need to have accommodation booked, we stayed in San Sebastian and took the bus in, we were there for 3 days, first day of the festival (still got my Sangrai stained t-shirt) and then the next 2 days
It is a once in a lifetime experience. You have to go.
what tour company did you go through? do you have a link?
I found a great site with every bit of info you might need about Pampalona and Running of the Bulls including hotels and pensions. Meson Del Barrio is a 30 minute walk from the centre, but a room for 2 people is 95 Euros per night incl breakfast (I believe) Check out this ‘fab’ site!!
Sorry I forgot to send the Website ( I work nights and haven’t slept yet!!!) www.sanfermin.com
Hi,
Anybody still looking for info about accommodation etc should check out www.bullrunning.immo…
