I will be goin to italy this summer for 2 months(july 12 – september 12 give or take a week), now i’m not to sure if its to early to be looking for airfare but i have been searching and coming up with rates anywhere from $1700 – $1900 which i think is a lil high for my budget. I am aware its peak season but is there anyway that i can find these fares cheaper. My last resort would be flying into rome if that makes it any cheaper. Any feedback would be sooooooooo appreciated. Thanks all!

Eurochica, welcome to EuroTrip!!

Ok, here’s what I found. I just looked on ITA Travel, didn’t get into the consolidator thing, but you might want to try that. I’ve got a lot of good airfare planning links on my website, go to www.freewebtown.com/… and there is a section with Trip Planning Links.

This Itin. get you @ $1,400 USD (not sure if you were talking CAD or USD in your post.

Used the "month search" feature on ITASOFTWARE to get these results. I’d def. check out some consolidator links from my website, but you are right, it is High Season and you are staying 2 mos.

Email me <a href="mailto:aluher.org”>al@uher.org if you want more ideas after seeing my site. I’m glad to help

Hard to say. I’m not an expert on ex-Candanian airfares and don’t pretend to be as I have lived in US all my life. Maybe Don will care to weigh in, but I’d say that I think they are still a tad high, but you can’t expect TOO much movement. Any luck with the consolidators???

Im sure that you will get a much cheaper rate flying from Vancouver to London. I am flying on easyjet from Rome to London this summer for around 65 CAD one way. You should try this, cause i’m sure it will work out to be cheaper overall in the end.

Yeah, you are more likely to find better fares for major cities – look for deals for major European capitals or airports like Frankfurt. Then it won’t cost too much to get to Naples with budget airlines

A. Runov’s suggestion is a good one. That’s prob. the only way to save a lot of $$$ on this trip for you.

One caution though. Remember when you fly some budget airlines, the luggage amount allowed is restricted. Be sure to research that. You wouldn’t want to get stuck paying the over-age charges as it would make it not so budget anymore Smile

Best of luck though…….
