The Kraimorie tourist settlement is a lovely and frequently visited place on the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast (10km south from Burgas). The four Bourgas lakes (Pomorie, Atanasovsko, Vaya and Mandra) are known for their exceptional biological variety and the biggest and most esteemed of wetlands in Bulgaria. Just outside Kraimorie is situated Poda Lagoon protected area - the easternmost part of Mandra Lake. This is one of the few places in Europe, where on such small territory 231 plant species, 168 invertebrate species, 6 fish species, 14 amphibian and reptile species, 259 bird species and 15 mammal species can be found. The area is situated on the main east European migration route, Via Ponticum.
