Nesebar itself was founded 3000 years ago by the Thracians. Ancient Greeks, Romans, Byzantines and Bulgarians lived there. It is often referred to as a 'pearl of the black sea' and has a number of places of interest. The old town of Nesebar is one of Bulgaria's 9 world heritage sites and is well worth a look.
