Half way between Zadar and Nin surrounded with beautiful old Mediterranean pine woods there is Kozino. It is a place with numerous modern villas and apartments, situated just 5 km to the west of Zadar, and it is an ideal destination for tourists looking for quiet in a little place of a gentle and friendly atmosphere.
Zadar is a town with a long and rich history full of cultural monuments, lots of churches and museums. Cultural and commercial centres of the region, it dates from antiquity and one can still stroll through Roman, Medieval and other parts of old town.
There is an array of four strings of islands beginning with the largest: Pag, Dugi Otok, Ugljan, Pasman, leading to the smaller ones: Silba, Molat, Olib, Premuda, Iz, Vrgada, Sestrunj.
Nin is a lovely preserved old town, pleasantly warm sea, sand beaches and historical rich surrounding.
In the past, Nin was the royal seat of Croatian Kings and the Bishops. Duke Branimir received royal recognition from the Pope here in 879. In the centre of town, even today, there stands the marvelous small Church of St. Kriza (St.Cross), an example of early Croatian architecture.
There are also four national parks in the close neighborhoods of Zadar; the wonderful Kornati Islands, The Plivice lakes, The big Paklenica of the velebit mountain, and The Krka Water Falls, and also you can enjoy on rafting on the river Zrmanja
