* Walk for 200m toward the red dome (away from the red church).
* We are to the right of the clothing shop at Sokolska 1.
* Buzz Poets Corner doorbell and we will let you in.
Obviously it's easier to find your way if you arrive before dark. If you must arrive late, we recommend printing the map from this or from the hostel's official website.
If you choose to take a taxi from the train station, the fare should be about 100Kc.
Please understand that in such a small homelike hostel it’s not practical to have credit card facilities on the premises. We’ll ask you to pay in Czech Crowns cash upon arrival, so please have enough with you to pay for your entire booking plus an extra 200Kc as a key deposit (which you will receive back when you return the keys on your last day).
If you’re coming from the east and Olomouc is your first stop within the country, fear not, for there are bank machines both at the train station and at the tram stop where you will get off in the centre.

The Poets Corner Hostel is for anyone who wants a central, comfortable and clean home base for their stay in Olomouc. The majority our guests are youngish backpackers, but the hostel (especially the private rooms) is also suitable for couples and families and we’ve welcomed guests as young as 2 and as old as 73.
The dorms are together on the upper floor of the hostel and are arranged around a big common room where people gather to swap stories of their day’s adventures as the afternoon sun streams through the windows. All linen and blankets are provided and there's at least one locker for every guest. There’s also an airy, well-equipped kitchen; and a balcony for cigarette smokers and anyone else who enjoys a view of cathedral spires and distant hillsides.
The private rooms are mostly down on the third floor. They all have real double beds, but we can also arrange them as twin, triple or quad private rooms. The rooms themselves have high ceilings and are the same size as the ones we use as 6-8 bed dorms upstairs, so there’s plenty of space.
The best reason to stay with us though has nothing to do with our facilities. It’s the information we provide and our insiders’ tips that will make your stay remarkable. We can tell you where to get a great vegetarian lunch, taste the best beer in town, find the coolest street-art, and tell you what's worth seeing at the cinemas, theatres and music venues.
Our promises to you are that we’ll show you how to save time and/or money in at least a dozen ways, and if you have a question we don’t know the answer to, we’ll do our best to find out.
