From John Lennon Airport - Walking not advisable! Take a Taxi for £11-12.00 approx , or take bus no. 80 or 86 a from outside terminal building and get off at ASDA supermarket Smithdown rd, cross over Smithdown then walk up Alderson Road until you reach Cardigan street where you turn right, then a left turn into Kempton Road. The Old Dairy is located through the black gates where you will see our sign that reads no. "39a the Old Dairy to the rear". THESE GATES ARE OUR ONLY ENTRANCE.

You should have arranged an arrival time with the proprietors so the gate should be open. If not please call the numbers provided on your booking confirmation and they will come down and open the gates for you.
You must advise proprietors of your arrival time at the time of booking and then call them at least 20 minutes prior to your arrival as access is restricted and staff will need to be there for your entry.

The Old Dairy is a Hostelbookers "Best Value" award winner in 2009 and continues to provide excellent value for money! 2 miles from city centre in a residential neighbourhood and is easy accessible via at least 6 buses. We DO NOT operate a typical reception so we ask our guests provide an approx arrival time and then call us 20 minutes before arrival by phone, email or text so we can ensure that there is someone there to greet you. Guests have their own keys once they are checked in.No curfew.
Our bedrooms are all furnished to very comfortable and modern standard providing all divan base beds in doubles/singles. Family rooms have divan beds and bunks. We like our guests to feel at home so we provide all of our guest bedrooms with tea making facilities & free tea & coffee, free view TV, wash basins, plenty of hanging & storage space plus dressing mirror. FREE WIFI connectivity throughout the building. Hairdryers, irons and ironing boards also available. Tourist information leaflets, maps, guides etc are all provided.
We have a FULLY equipped kitchen with 24 hr free tea and coffee; microwave oven, toasters & dishwasher. Communal dining room with a selection of books, board games, cards and movies in our movie library.

We have a 7 day cancellation policy: No-shows and late cancellations will be charged for the first night minimum, weekend reservations will be charged in full.
ADVANCE BOOKINGS: Bookings more than 4 weeks in advance of arrival date will be charged A NON-REFUNDABLE 50% of the balance in advance. The remaining balance is then payable upon arrival. Guests are notified by proprietor of advance payments made.
If advance payment made there will be no further charge for a 'no'show' or late cancellation, however notification of cancellation desired.
