Hotel Kartli
For more than ten years the hotel Kartli with its restaurant and beer garden has been an address for sophisticated and affordable hospitality in the heart of the Georgian capital, only a five minutes' walk away from Rustaveli Prospect. The founders of the hotel, the German couple Gabi and Rainer Kaufmann, are again running the hotel and restaurant together with their well trained Georgian staff beginning in March 2009. The traditional German service and Georgian hospitality - a combination that has been successful over a decade; and the prices are reasonable.
12 rooms are simply furnished but clean and well maintained. They are equipped with shower / WC, TV with satellite connection, wireless Internet access and minibar.
The restaurant - known under the name "Rainers Pizzeria & beergarden" - has been one of the most popular meeting places for foreigners and Georgians in Tbilisi for a decade.
Excursions to the entire country and the neighboring countries will be organized by the tourist-agency "ERKA-Reisen GmbH - Caucasus and Black Sea", which is also owned by the Kaufmann family and has been active in Georgia since 1993.
