The “Humboldthaus” MEININGER Hotel in Berlin Mitte is located in a historical spot: this is where the natural scientist Alexander von Humboldt lived until his death. The modern hotel preserves the spirit of the universal genius and transports it to our times: the 118 unique rooms equipped with high-class accessories are individually designed by DaWanda artists. Each floor has a theme based on one of Humboldt’s fields of work: nature, freedom, truth. The public areas are decorated with comic strips about Humboldt drawn by Cuban artists and printed on wallpaper. The hotel only has modern, non-smoking rooms. On the fifth floor you can find several gallery rooms overlooking Berlin: you sleep up on the gallery while there are a comfortable sofa, a writing desk and a bathroom downstairs. Free WiFi is available in the lobby and all other public areas.
