The Hotel George & Irene sits on a small hill just opposite the lively Ios village. At night you can relax after a hard day at the beach and enjoy a cool drink whilst watching the sun go down.
Many travelers then have a quick power nap before getting back together on the balcony to plan the bar route for the night. You should be made aware that many seasoned travelers have been going to stay "just one or two nights".
So far the record for "probably just a night or two" was set in 2003 by an Aussie who ended up staying for 42 nights! The fact that the hotel enjoys a large communal balcony with BBQ facilities is a massive bonus, as a friendly atmosphere is ideal for small groups to get to meet each other and everyone is encouraged to join in the fun.
Many long standing friendships around the world have been forged over the years and don't be surprised to hear people say that they have been more than once before. The hotel prides itself on being friendly and the owners are willing to help with just about any situation that you may need assistance with.
