The Connemara Hostel

Driving: To Galway City: * The connemara Hostel is approximately 50 kms from Galway City. From Galway City take The Clifden road (N59), go through the towns of Moycullen and Oughterard. At Maam Cross (Peacock's Hotel) turn right and head for the village of Leenane. Drive 6 kms past Leenane on the Clifden road. You will then see sign(s) for Sleepzone pointing to the right - Sleepzone Connemara is 1 km down to the end of this narrow road. *Inagh** Valley: *An alternative (slightly longer drive but very beautiful) route is via the Inagh Valley. From Galway, go straight through Maam Cross as far as Recess. At recess take the right turn marked Inagh Valley. At the end of this road turn right again. Drive about 6kms. This time you will see the same sign(s) as above except this time pointing to your left! From Castlebar / Wesport: * The connemara Hostel is approximately 35 kms from Wesport. Take the N59 in the direction of Leenane, Clifden. 5kms after Leenane take a right turn off the main road. The Connemara Hostel is 1km down this road - just past adventure centre - and close to the water.
