Agriturismo Domo de Pedra
The Farmhouse Domo de Pedra was founded in 2003 by the Sanna family. From our farm, half a way between Sassari and Alghero, we have seen many people from abroad passing by. Most of them attracted by our beautiful sea. Knowing the richness and the variety of our culture, we are sure that the sea is only one of the many things Sardinia can offer to visitors. So we had the idea to spread the knowledge of that reality to all interested tourists. The proximity of Sassari, the provincial capital and Alghero, a popular tourist destination known throughout Italy has opened endless opportunities for our family to host foreign guests. Low cost airlines added even more possibilities to satisfy our curiosity about the different people coming from all over the world. Being proud of our land and work, we had very few chances to travel the world, so we invite the world to come to our farm, to share our food and to introduce us to their lifes and culture. Constantino, the head of our household, likes to speak with his guests of the ancient history of his people: the Sardinian people. A proud people who wants back dignity, claims to be recognized as one of the great civilizations of the past and wants to speak his language. All this happens in a friendly and quiet environment, in a nice garden, free from stress and constraints, outdoors, weather permitting, or inside the house where once lived the parents of Constantino. While tasting the terrific food of our farm the guest have the chance to chat with Costantino, Caterina, Lucia and Anita on every possible topic, get information on beaches, archaeological sites, traditions and cities to visit. Most of the people come with the idea to get out after diner, but all of a sudden is to late to go out in the warm nights of the ancient land of Sardinia, and the chat rule until late. That's the greatest reward for us. All tourist leave with a tear on their cheek, ready to plan the next trip to the centre of Mediterranean Sea.
