The Country House "L'ippocastano" in the neighbourhood of Cilento's National Park, is located at Cerrelli of Altavilla Silentina (SA).

It offers a quiet and comfortable stay in the middle of a green area. Double rooms, three and four bedded rooms are available, all equipped with shower, conditioned air, refrigerator and satellite T.V. Shops and services are nearby.

In about 15 minutes by car it is possible to reach Paestum, an ancient Greek colony, a world heritage site, now one of the most famous archaeological places in the world , appreciated also for its sandy beaches and clean sea.

Not far from Altavilla Silentina there are the Alburni mountains, whose highest peak )1742 meters) gives the name to the whole chain, the characteristic caves of Castelcivita and also Pertosa's caves which, unique in Italy may be visited on a boat crossing a lake originatedby an underground river.

Moreover it is possible to go on excursions through the National Park of Cilento and to follow gastronomic itineraries for the tasting of typical products such as the famous buffalo mozzarella, Cilento's white figs, the remarkable olive oil produced in Cilento and on the hills of Salerno and the DOC wine of Castel San Lorenzo.
