By Train: - Rome to Assisi 1) Line: Rome-Ancona Change at Foligno. Take Perugia train. Get off at Assisi. 2) Line: Rome-Perugia. Get off at Assisi. - Florence to Assisi 1) Line: Florence-Rome Change at Terontola. Take Foligno train. Get off at Assisi. 2) Line: Florence-Foligno. Get Off at Assisi. Bus from train station: Buy the bus ticket from the tabacchi/café or newsagents inside the station. Take the bright-orange bus going to Assisi just outside the station. Ask for the "San Pietro" stop. Walk downhill on Viale Marconi in the direction the bus came from until the road bends to the right. Take via di Valecchie on the left. The hostel is 400 meter downhill on the right. By Car: - From Rome: exit A1 Orte direction Perugia/Assisi (50 minutes from Orte). Exit S.M. Angeli. - From Florence: exit A1 Valdichiana direction Perugia/Assisi (50 minutes from Valdichiana). Exit S.M.Angeli sud. Follow the signs for Assisi. After 3 underpasses you will find a small roundabout, go straight on Via di Valecchie. At the end of the road you will see an intersection: go straight on up the hill. The Youth Hostel is located on the left. By Plane: International airport Perugia - S. Francesco d'Assisi at 11 km. Shuttle bus for Perugia, then train to Assisi.
