Zanhotel Il Canale is located in the heart of old Bologna overlooking the Aposa chanel. This is a natural watercourse that was formerly used to supply water to the city and to the moat that surrounded its walls. Today it flows in an underground gallery crossing the city. A few suggestive stretches of the torrent, which flows at the surface, can still be seen. One of these is next to the hotel.
