Hotel Locanda Scirocco
In the heart of Castellammare del Golfo, close to the municipal park and the town’s impressive tourist port, the hotel has a great location in the western part of Sicily, for a relaxing holiday and is a good base for exploring all that the region has to offer.
Locanda Scirocco is a pleasant inn in a palace of the 18th century, steps from the historic centre.
Location: Castellammare del Golfo, is famous for its seafront promenade and its charming, picturesque nature, and is a great place to stay when exploring western Sicily. The Greek temple of Segesta and Scopello’s Faraglioni are not far away and the natural beauty of Riserva Naturale dello Zingaro is just 15 km away and can be reached in 15 minutes by car. The city of Palermo and Monreale is 30 minutes away by car, also Marsala with its renowned wines, the traditional historic medieval town of Erice, famous for its sweets. The region is famous for its superb gastronomy and, with the hotel as a comfortable relaxing base, you can explore the area’s traditional specialities and local delicacies, as well as sampling Sicily’s great wines.
Hotel: 14 rooms, 8 rooms and 1 apartment for 5 people are situated in the main house, and 5 rooms are located in the annexed building, which is less than 120 metres away. The decoration of the rooms in the main building matches the beautiful architecture and the authentic floors of the palace.
All rooms have a private bathroom, hairdryer, air conditioned/heating system, phone, TV and bar-fridge.
Meals: Enjoy a rich continental breakfasts in the breakfast room and frescoed courtyard, including homemade cakes, seasonal fresh fruit and other typical Sicilian flavours.
