On Foot:
Being inside the train station and having the trains behind your shoulder choose the exit at your right, down the stairs and cross the street. Turn left and go ahead up to, you enter in Via S.ta Caterina da Siena. As soon as you arrive at the traffic light, turn right in Via della Scala, and immediately at left entering Via Dell’Albero. Go straight in Via M Finiguerra, Via Melegnano and cross the bridge Vespucci. Keep going straight in Via Sant’Onofrio, then turn right in Borgo San Frediano. Pass under the very big and ancient door and go ahead along Via Pisana up to you enter Piazza Pier Vettori. Here turn left and you will find Via R. Sanzio. We are on the opposite side of the street. You will see our white sign at number 16. It seems to be hard but you need only 10-15 minutes

Which bus can I catch to get to Youth Hostel Firenze 2000 from the train station (SMN)?
Being inside the train station and having the trains behind your shoulder, choose the exit at your left, walk out of the station (do not cross any street) and walk along the footstep on the right: the bus stop (bus n° 12) is along the footstep. You have to get off at the forth bus stop AFTER the bridge (the first bus stop after Piazza Pier Vettori). The bus takes approximately 10-15 minutes and the bus stop you have to get off at is called Sanzio 1. As soon as you get off the bus here we are, at number 16!
Note: Bus tickets (1.20 euro) are available in bars and newsagents which show the A.T.A.F sign.

From North:
FIRENZE NORD EXIT
Follow the road markings for the Centro. As soon as you are in Porta a Prato, pass under the tunnel, cross the bridge, take the second road on the right and follow the road markings for Siena. Once you are in Piazza Pier Vettori, Youth Hostel Firenze 2000 is on the right.
From South:
FIRENZE CERTOSA EXIT (SUGGESTED)
Follow the road markings for Centro and Porta Romana. Once you are in Porta Romana follow the directions for Viale Petrarca and Viale R.Sanzio. Youth Hostel Firenze 2000 is on the left.
From the Airport A. Vespucci
In order to arrive at Youth Hostel Firenze 2000 from the Airport get the shuttle to the Station of Santa Maria Novella (Volainbus) and then follow the indications From the Train Station.

Unique amongst the hostels in Florence, Youth Hostel Firenze 2000 is only a few minutes from the historic areas of San Frediano and Santo Spirito and can easily be reached from the train station, Santa Maria Novella (10-15 minutes on foot).
Conceived as a low-cost hotel, Youth Hostel Firenze 2000 is suitable for those who want to stay in Florence at rock-bottom prices without sharing a room with strangers, plus there’s no curfew!

1) Check-in from 1:00pm to 7:30pm
Reception is CLOSED from 7:30pm to 7:00am ( that is to say from 19:30 to 7:00 ) and during this time, we do not check-in.
If Guests are late, they will loose their reservation (so there is no way they can sleep at Youth Firenze 2000) and we will charge the first night on their credit card.
2) Check-out is at 9:30 on departure date
3) Reservations can be cancel without penalties until 3 days before the arrival date otherwise the first night will be charged in the credit card.
4) We don't accept anyone younger than 18 years old (we accept underage Guests only if they are with their parents or on a school trip).
5) Guests will be asked to respect our house rules (during the check-in guests will provided with our list of our rules and they will be asked to sign, therefore respect, them). By the way, do not worry! They are just common sense!
FEATURES: all rooms are PRIVATE (at Youth Hostel Firenze 2000 we don't have rooms to share) and all are provided with private bathroom and shower. We have single rooms, double rooms, triple rooms, rooms with 4 and 5 beds.
LOCATION: Youth Hostel Firenze 2000 is located in the HISTORICAL CENTRE OF FLORENCE (San Frediano area) at 10 minutes on foot from the main railway station ( SMN ).
CHECK-IN: Check-in from 2:00pm to 7:30pm (that has to say from 14:00 to 19:30). Reception is closed from 7:30pm to 7:00am (that has to say from 19:30 to 7:00) and during this time, we do not check-in.
NO CURFEW: after 19:30 (that has to say 7:30pm) you will enter Youth Firenze 2000 using your keys!
AIR CONDITIONING: available at a small additional cost (3,50 Euros per person per night in single, double and twin room; 2,50 Euros per person per night in triple, rooms with 4 and 5 beds). Some rooms are naturally chilly due to their location.
BLANKETS AND TOWELS: blankets, towels and sheets are provided by Youth Hostel Firenze 2000 and rooms are cleaned daily.
INTERNET facilities (Wi-Fi): at guests' disposal at small additional costs ( 10minuts=1,00 euro; 30 minutes= 2,50 Euros; 1 hour= 4,50 Euros; 2 hours= 8 Euros; 5 hours= 19,00 Euros ).
LAUNDRY= 5 euro, detergent included (no dryer available but open air racks available)
BREAKFAST: at Youth Hostel Firenze 2000 we DON'T SERVE breakfast but from 7:00 to 9:30 we OFFER muffins and plum-cakes and guests can have hot beverages from a vending machine for 0,50 Euro. It is not something to write home about but it is something to start with!
PARKING LOT: As far as parking it's concerned, we have 1 parking lot and the rates are 10 Euros (small cars such as a Nissan Micra) and 15 Euros ( big cars). It is NOT possible to book a parking place in advance but let us know if you are interested in it. We remind you that the car parked inside Youth Hostel Firenze 2000 is not allowed neither to exit neither to enter between 20:00 and 7:00 that is during the Reception closing time. Close to us there is a private garage open from 7:00 in the morning to 2:00 in the night, but it's a bit expensive (about 20 / 25 Euros per day). By the way please consider that in the avenue we are located there are many parking places (some for free and some at a charge).
LUGGAGE STORAGE: free at arrival ( if you arrive before 14:00 and your room is not ready yet!) and free at departure... but only if you book with HostelBookers! ( MIND THAT RECEPTION CLOSES AT 19:30).
