Paradise Beach Hostel

TO NAPLES (NAPOLI), trains leave from Rome every half hour and, depending on how much you spend, it takes between 1 and 4 hours. For about 20 € there's an easy 2-hour train, and the ones for roughly 10 € leave 4 times daily. By plane, you can fly directly to Naples from just about anywhere in the world. And it's much cooler than Rome. FROM THE MAINLAND, catch a boat across the spectacular Gulf from Naples, Pozzulli, Sorrrento, Procida, the Amalfi Coast or Capri and sail to Ischia Porto, Casamicciola or Forio. From Sorrento and Capri, the fast boats (aliscafi) leave from the Marina Piccola. FROM NAPOLI CENTRALE RAILWAY STATION, cross the big piazza out the front, passing the eternal Metro construction site, and catch Tram '1' going left (when looking away from the station) to the last stop. On the port side is Molo Beverello where the fast boats (aliscafi) depart. TO THE CHEAPER BOATS, from Beverello, go behind the cafes, away from the fast boat terminal, and catch the blue shuttle buses to Calata Porto Di Massa (about 5 minutes away)... WE'LL MEET YOU: We'll see if we can come and meet you. We meet people each day at around 11.30 am and 5 pm, but let us know you're coming, and we can show you how the buses of the island work too. Alternatively - FROM ISCHIA PORTO, catch the buses numbered 'CS', '1', '2' or '3' to Casamicciola, the first village out of Ischia Porto, and get off at the 'Topless Bar' corner. Either ask someone or press the bell when the bus is over the big hill and on the flat road again running along the seafront. Then... FROM CASAMICCIOLA PORT, cross the road and go to the bus stop in front of the large village piazza… at the bus stop in front of the village piazza, catch the 'CD', '1', '2' or '3' bus and get off at the 2nd stop, at the 'Topless Bar' corner, 3 minutes later. Alternatively, just walk down the street. Then... ... FROM THE 'TOPLESS BAR' CORNER, the hostel is a 2 minute walk for fit people, and 4 minutes for everyone else. Go up the side street to the end, and turn right. Be careful about traffic passing you on this bit. Look for a blue sign for the villa on the left, saying 'Hotel Di Meglio' and come into reception.
