Villa Il Borghetto or as the structure is simply called by our family “Il Borghetto (small hamlet) is a mansion which for historic merit has a conservation order of the Italian Cultural Ministry ;in the past a convent existed here the only remains of which is a charming chapel still consecrated. First noble dwelling then religious institution and finally historic building and antique residence. Il Borghetto has had links with our family for many years until 1997 when we became sole proprietors. After a long and meticulous restoration, followed lovingly step by step by my father (he in fact was born and grew up in one of the apartments) the work saw its fruition in 2005. The Borghetto restored to its former glory, ready for the future. Bright and charming apartments drawn from rubble from weeds and vegetable plots gardens and verdant green spaces. Returned to its ancient beauty Il Borghetto welcomes couples, families and friends seeking an ideal retreat close to the heart of Siena. “Who will take care of you during your stay?“. Above all a family Cesare, Marina, and their children Claudio and Cristina. Cesare: born and brought up at Borghetto has been the motivating force (ruled more by his heart than his head ) in its revival. Everything you see around you from the colour of the walls, the flooring, the bath room tiles is the fruit of his taste. Marina: just as a real Italian Mamma will be taking care of the apartments in every minimal detail and will make you feel part of the family not just guests! Claudio, He will take care of the day to day running of Il Borghetto: if you have any problems just knock at his door . Cristina: Its no easy to write about oneself. My university studies have centred around communication. I’ve decided to commit my know how to the family business and to the fascinating world of tourism. I’m here to suggest itineraries, typical restaurants, and cultural events according to the time of year.
