DirectionsYou can travel to Skopje by train, bus or by plane. Trains are connecting Skopje to Belgrade, Thessaloniki, Athens and to Ljubljana. The express route Vienna-Thessaloniki passes through Skopje twice daily, once going to Thessaloniki and second time returning to Vienna, passing though Belgrade and Ljubljana.
Buses connect Skopje to Sophia, Tirana, Pristina, Belgrade, Nish, Istanbul, Ljubljana and others. A bus to the other city in Macedonia is at every 1-2 hours, while international are once or twice a day.
The Skopje railway and bus station is 15 min walking from the main city square. Hi Skopje is just 2,5 km away from bus and train station, or easily you can take a taxi which will cost you 2 or 3 euro. You can find taxi on every corner of the city. The only choice for public transportation in Skopje is by public buses. You can come with bus number 16, which is passing near Hi Skopje Hostel. Bus tickets price is around 0.5 – 1 euro
Skopje is served by the Skopje airport – Alexander The Great (SKP) in Petrovec, 17 km east of Skopje. Skopje Airport was fully reconstructed last year.There is bus line from the airport to the city. Taxi regularly cost 25 euro, but we also provide airport pick up for 15 euro.
Walking distance form Hi Skopje hostel to the center of the city is 2-3 km or max 10-20 min walking. You can check directions from any location to our hostel under the Skopje map
Hi Skopje Hostel is a new hostel, located 10 min. walking distance from the center of Skopje, in the comfy zone at the base of Vodno Mountain. Its location on a hill makes the place secure and perfect because of the fresh air, the sunrise side and the wonderful panoramic view of the city.
Near the hostel there are many supermarkets, ATMs, pharmacy, hospital, police station, exchange office, bakery and all city attractions like shopping malls, restaurants, bars and nightclubs are only 10 minutes walking from the hostel.
We are two girls that own and run this hostel, and after lots of traveling, we created a hostel the way Skopje deserves.
Our friendly, helpful and multilingual staff is available 24 hours a day, and can help with any inquiry. We have updated information about tours, points of interest and local entertainment, as well as free city maps and tour maps.
With its own garden of 600m2, Hi Skopje is one of the few places in the city, where you can have a nice stay and meet new people and cultures. The warm atmosphere in the garden is enriched with summer cinema and lounge parties.
Its own natural beauty, with hundreds of plants, inspired us to describe the 4 elements of the nature within the hostel. Hi Skopje has clean and comfortable mix dorms and private rooms, and each of them has element that represents the natural beauty of Macedonia. In every room for each bed we provide safety lockers and reading lights.
There is a large multi-purposed room, with PC ,free Wi-Fi internet access, TV in each private room, full equipped kitchen and a cozy fireplace, where you can meet other cultures and share your traveling experiences.
The place is secured with camera and security system.
We offer you safe and private parking space and every morning we serve free breakfast, free tea and coffee during your stay at our hostel.
