The International Budget hostel is in the center of Amsterdam close to all major tourist attractions, museums, Leidseplein and the busy nightlife area. The location of the hostel is on a quiet, beautiful canal - the Leidsegracht. The hostel has a cozy lounge facing the canal where one can relax and socialize and meet other fellow travelers. Breakfast is not included in the room price but is available in the lounge between 9am and 12noon. The lounge has vending machines, a television, an internet station and a public phone. Rooms are shared/mixed quads with 4 single box spring beds. There is 1 padlock accepting a locker per bed which is big enough for 2 backpacks. Each hallway has showers and WCs and all rooms have smoke detectors. There is video security in all public areas. Due to the new non-smoking law which is introduced since July 1st 2008, smoking will not be permitted in the entire hostel We are pleased to announce our new indoor smoking room, where you can chill out, socialite, and smoke in comfort looking out over Amsterdam's beautiful canals. The rest of the hostel remains smoke free The hostel has no curfew, but reception closes at 11.00pm so please contact reception if you are arriving after this time. WEEKEND RESERVATIONS We have a minimum stay of 2 nights over the weekends (Friday, Saturday or Saturday, Sunday). In peak season we have a minimum stay of 3 nights on every Friday and 2 nights on Saturdays. Weekend reservations are subject to a TWO NIGHT cancellation fee should the 48 hours notice not be observed. All credit cards incur a 5% surcharge Upon arrival, payment for accommodation is to be made in advance. All reservations will be held until 23.00 p.m. unless arranged differently with reception. The reservation will be terminated if the hostel does not get authorization on the credit card.
