"The Capital of the Fjords" is among Norway’s prettiest and most exciting cities. The student town has great atmosphere with a bustling fish market, cosy cafés and bakeries (try out the local cinnamon rolls!) and narrow, cobbled streets. Stroll along the 16th century harbor side “Bryggen” with its famous wooden buildings, take a trip to Troldhaugen - home of composer Edvard Grieg or visit Old Bergen and Fantoft Stave Church.
The Montana hostel is situated at the foot of Mount Ulriken, one of the seven mountains surrounding the city of Bergen. From the hostel there is a beautiful view of the town centre and great hiking opportunities. The famous cable car “Ulriksbanen” takes you to the top of Mount Ulriken, and is only a 5 minutes walk from the hostel.
