Use the Sta Apolonia Terminal
Walking from Sta Apolonia (Train & Subway)(10 min),
Go up into the C. do Forte (right of Museu Militar) and turn left to R.Remedios (40 m). Go straight and turn right in R.Vigario (150 m). Keep straight until R.Escolas Gerais (100 m). After 30m there is a «V» intersection, take left, 50m ahead in the road with tram tracks, turn right and we are nr.3 (20m).
Bus
From Gare Oriente Terminal, take the train towards Sta Apolonia & follow the given directions above to walk to the hostel from that station.
From Sete Rios Terminal, go with Subway towards the Sta Apolonia station & follow the given directions
Airport
Or take the Aerobus (shuttle 3,50€ & ticket is valid 24h for any BUs or Tram) to city center, drop off at the stop R.Ouro and go back until R.Conceicao (10 m), you will find a tram stop there (20 m).Take the tram 28 (you ticket is still valid) towards Graça or Martim Moniz.
Get off at the stop Escolas Gerais. The hostel is 30 meters further after the tram stop (around the corner on the left) and enter the opened green gate.
Taxi
Go to Escolas Gerais 3 (not Rua das Escolas Gerais, common mistake), near Voz do Operário. From Airport TAXI DOESN'T COST MORE THAN 22€ with bags.
Car
Go towards the city center & follow the directions to Castle of Sao Jorge. Park for free near S.Vicente Fora Church (except in Tuesdays and Saturdays) or paying in Portas do Sol parking, then 3 min walking following the tram rails until you find Escolas Gerais,3

Patio hostels, with Patios that you can use all year long
The patio – the heart of the house which, undoubtedly, contributed to the hostel’s international “Best Atmosphere” award - is where it all happens: a delicious pancake breakfast every morning, a BBQ and DJ on Saturdays, film night on Mondays and a Latin fiesta on Wednesdays. It’s in this setting, at once upbeat and laid-back, that nationalities intermingle and friendships are made.
But to discover the city, you must venture out beyond the front gate. Regular group outings lead you to some of the best of what Lisbon has to offer – a Brazilian music and dance party held locally on Tuesdays, an evening of live Portuguese fado music on Thursdays, and bar-hopping into the night in the Bairro Alto neighborhood on Fridays.
Some of Lisbon’s most popular monuments are barely past the Hostel’s doorstep, and others just a ride away on one of the city’s yellow Eléctricos (riding in one of these trams is a must-do for any visitor anyway). And because there’s a lot worth a seeing outside Lisbon, groups of 5 or more can hop on the hostel’s own van and be shuttled to nearby Cascais and Sintra or to one of several magnificent beaches close by.
If after all this you’re still undecided, then it may help to know that APH has won successive “Best Staff” awards. When you arrive and are welcomed with open arms, you’ll understand why.
