The Independente Hostel & Suites
Located across a beautiful and nostalgic view point (Miradouro São Pedro de Alcântara) where the old neighborhood that’s center to Lisbon’s nightlife (Bairro Alto) meets the classy shopping and residential area of Príncipe Real.
Set in a refurbished house originally built to become the Swiss ambassador’s official residence at the start of the previous century this period palace has now become your hostel!
It features The Decadente restaurante & bar, considered one of the top 20 restaurants in Lisbon by Time Out magazine, so you don’t need to go far to try some delicious portuguese dishes and some signature cocktails made with national drinks!
You can and should expect to attend and even partake on regular live music shows that range from jam sessions, to some of the hottest new talents making music in Portugal these days.
All along you’ll have your very own guest only lounge to relax, watch private movie screenings, play ps3, listen to music and prepare your own meals in a fully equipped kitchen.
Four very special suites with private balconies which overlook the Tagus River and the St. George's Castle flatter the palace's existence and are secluded enough, with direct access by elevator, for a couple or a family to enjoy their privacy.
If that's not enough, our staff revisited most of the city's museums and hot spots to be sure of what they're talking about! Here you'll forget you even brought a guide book…
