Located in Ligovskiy,74 – this is the only hostel that is situated on the territory of the former bread production plant which has been now transformed into a cultural space. The first experimental example of industrial building transformation into a modern art centre, the Loft Project Etagi is just ten minutes’ walk from Nevsky Prospekt. Several years ago the cosy hostel appeared among permanently working galleries, exhibition and lecture halls. It was one of the first in Russia – a democratic and hospitable home for travellers from every corner of the world. Each room has its own name connected with photo collages for the remarkable bakery’s past, for instance «Biscuit shop» or « Bruce Lee». The objects from exhibition are left in the hall from time to time, that is why modern art is everywhere here. Three separate design rooms of the hostel – this is an interesting model of loft architecture, which constitutes a smart combination of comfortable design in the space with giant windows, antique reconstructed tiles in the lobby and high ceilings of the former bakery.
