Ulan Ude Travelers House

Basically it's pretty easy to find it, you need to find Soviet square and Lenin's head. Lonely Planet Trans-Mongolian book lists us on the Ulan-Ude map as no.38 'S7 Airlines'. When you stand in front of Lenin's head looking at it, turn left, look for a 4 storey light yellow building with a big sign 'S7 airlines' on the top. The hostel is on the right side of the building, a black door between 'S7 airlines' and 'Vintage' cloth shop. Press 18 and 'B' on terminal and wait for me or my friend to let you in. We're on the second floor, right door. Walk from the train station: When you get off a train have a look around, you'll see the tallest building in UU with interesting rooftop. Walk a pedestrian bridge over the rails. There are 3 streets on crossroads, take Borsoeva street (yj.6opcoeBa) and walk along the road until you get a street to the right, Sukh-Bator str. (yj. Cyxe-6aTopa). You'll get Soviet square and Lenin's head to your left in a minute or less. Bus from the train station: Go to a bus stop which is in front of the train station and little bit upside. Take a marshrutka (=a public minibus) no.36 or no.4, you need the second stop is Soviet Square or "Ploshad Sovetov", the one with monument of Lenin's head in the center. Mind that marshrutkas stop only on demand when a driver sees somebody waving on stops or somebody inside telling him to stop. It's 14 roubles for a ride.
