By car: From the south, take the A9 from Perth (signposted Inverness). After about 11miles (16 km)you will see a sign for Birnam. Turn right here. Follow this round into Birnam village. Continue for about 500 metres, once you go past the wooden Post Office building on your right look for a place to park on the same side. We are immediately next to the church. By car: from the North, on the A9 from Inverness, about 11 miles (16km) south of Pitlochry you will see a sign for the Hermitage then shortly after you will see a sign for Dunkeld. Turn left at the Dunkeld turn-off. After about 60 metres you will see a turn-off to the right signposted Beatrix Potter garden. Turn right here (do not go over the bridge to Dunkeld). Go along this road for about 600metres until you see the large Birnam Hotel on your left. We are about 100metres further along from the hotel, immediately before the church. By train: We are a five minute walk from Dunkeld and Birnam train station. As you come out of the station go to the left edge of the car park and you will see a path leading down - turn right at the bottom and go under the bridge - follow the path to the end where it comes out opposite the Birnam Hotel. Turn right and walk about 100metres along the road until you see our green sign and the turret corner next to the church. By bus: We are on the Citylink route between Perth and Inverness. the bus stops at the Birnam Hotel. We are 100 metres along the road, past the Spar shop.
