Ballantrae West End Hotel
6 Grosvenor Crescent
Edinburgh, Scotland

Edinburgh, Scotland

Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland, is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, and is a world heritage site. Not just a great place to visit during the festival season, it is a great attraction all year round.
With hundreds of years of interesting history and lots of new attractions bringing people from all over the world, the city makes a lasting impression.
At the Ballantrae West End hotel we enhance your visit to Edinburgh with our welcome and the high level of service we extend to all our guests. We ensure that we are the ideal base for exploring both Edinburgh and its outlying attractions.
Centrally located, in an elegant west end crescent, we are a small (16 bedroom) family run hotel, able to offer you a friendly personal service, with an emphasis on traditional hospitality. There is also a comfortable residents' bar.
Princes Street, Haymarket Station, Edinburgh's International Conference Centre, the financial district and a whole range of other visitor attractions are but a few moments walk away.
Opposite the hotel are private gardens (to which a key is available) that give an impression of rural tranquility not often found in a central city location.
Also overlooking the gardens and offering a spectacular backdrop is St. Mary's Episcopal Cathedral, a much photographed neo-gothic building consecrated in 1879, having been designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott.
Taxi from the airport will cost about 40pounds.
