Hostel Pod Voglom

BY CAR: from Ljubljana: You take a highway in direction to Kranj, you pass Radovljica and in rondo traffic circle you take the exit LESCE – BLED - BOHINJ. After aprox. 20 km you will arrive to the Bohinj valley. In the town Bohinjska Bistrica you turn right in the main crossroads towards lake Bohinj and Ribcev Laz village. When you arrive to Ribcev Laz you will see the lake Bohinj in front of you. Continue straight and drive by the lake another 2 km on the left side of the lake. After 2 km you turn left. You will see a blue/green board for Hostel pod Voglom and High ropes course in front of you. BY BUS: from Ljubljana: There are direct buses to Bohinj valley from Ljubljana almost every hour (except night hours and weekends); it is a regular bus connection Ljubljana – Radovljica – Bled – Bohinj. Bohinj has various bus stops and there is one directly in front of Hostel pod Voglom (bus stop "Pod Voglom" is next bus top after »Bohinj lake« ! from Ljubljana airport: The best option is going to Ljubljana or Kranj first and then take a bus or train to the Bohinj valley. BY TRAIN: from Ljubljana: Take a train from the main railway station in Ljubljana direction Jesenice. At Jesenice international station you change the train and take off in Bohinjska Bistrica train station, which is aprox. 8 km from the hostel. There is a bus stop in the centre of Bohinjska Bistrica - 5 min walking from the train station. Buses leave from there almost every hour (except night hours) at 8.52, 9.52, etc... You take a bus to Hostel pod Voglom (bus stop "Pod Voglom"). It stops in front of the hostel. from Jesenice and Austria: If you reach Slovenia from the North, you can take a train in the international railway station Jesenice. There are quite frequent trains going to Bohinj valley. You take off in Bohinjska Bistrica train station. From there you walk 5 minutes to the bus stop in Bohinjska Bistrica and take a bus to "Pod Voglom" bus stop in front of Hostel pod Voglom. Buses leave almost every hour except during the night. If you arrive with a direct train from the South (Austria) via Jesenice, you can also take off at LESCE-BLED international train station and take a bus directly from the train station. It is regular bus connection Ljubljana - Kranj - Lesce/Bled – Bled – Bohinj valley. In Bohinj there are various bus stops, Hostel pod Voglom has a bus stop in front of the hostel, called »Pod Voglom« and it is one bus stop after »Bohinj lake« ! from Nova Gorica and Italy: after crossing the border with Italy, go to Nova Gorica train station and take a connection Nova Gorica – Most na Soci – Bohinjska Bistrica – Jesenice. Take off at train station Bohinjska Bistrica. There are regular buses to Hostel pod Voglom from the centre of Bohinjska Bistrica town (a 5-min walk from the train station).
