Hostal Fantoni
Fantoni Hostel dates from 18th century and owes its name to an important trader family from Florence who placed themselves in Cádiz at the beginning 17th century to take advantage of the importance of port of Cádiz and its trades with the Indies. Since arriving to Spain, and until 1836, Fantoni family held the main magistracy posts in the city and consequently they became “Regidor Perpetuo” (honorific alderman title). Moreover, they owned several entailed estates and domains, and were given the name of a street: “Calle Larga de los Fantoni”.
Fantoni hostel is located in Cádiz city centre, a three thousand year old place, and is just a few meters from the City Hall, the Cathedral, the Conference Centre, the seaport and the shopping areas to which you can get in a nice walk. Long distance bus station, urban bus stop and train station are also near so you can visit easily other parts of the cities or even some towns in our province.
La Caleta is the only beach located within the historical area and can be reached in a 10-15 minutes walk. Santa María del Mar beach and La Victoria beach are other nice alternatives at 5 minutes by bus.
After years of experience, Fantoni Hostel has become one of the best options to accommodate Cadiz visitors, according to the number of guests who has already trusted us and return. Our main objective is to provide a top-quality service to our customers, trying to be very easy to get on with.
