Rural Hotel Las Calas

We recommend you set the kilometre log to zero.

1 - Leaving the airport follow the sign for Las Palmas joining onto the motorway GC-1. Keep on the GC1 motorway following the signs for Las Palmas for approx. 11 km.

2 - At approx. 11.4 km you will see signs pointing to the left two lanes which takes you onto the GC-3 motorway for ‘Tamaraceite / Tafira / Galdar’. Take this exit following the signs for Tafira.

3 - At 15 km move over to the right lane, ready to take exit 3 for Tafira. At 15.9 km take exit 3 marked ‘Tafira’ which brings you on to the GC4 motorway. From here, follow the signs for ‘Santa Brígida’.

4 - At 20.4 km you approach a roundabout – take the second exit for Santa Brígida, now driving on the country road GC-15. (The GC-15 takes you all the way to La Lechuza).

5 - At 24 km you approach Santa Brígida Town. At the traffic lights you will see signs indicating straight over / straight head for “San Mateo”. Go straight and from here follow the signs to San Mateo Town, always on the GC-15. You pass through Portada Verde (at 25.5 km) then Gran Parada (at 27,5 km) and Madroñal (at 28.5 km) villages.

6 - At 31 km you are now approaching San Mateo Town. From here, continue straight ahead following the signs to ‘Tejeda’.

7 - At 33.8 km on your right, pass the signs for ‘Centro Hipico’ (Horse Ranch).

8 - At 35.2 km on your right you pass a large, yellow painted wall – SLOW RIGHT DOWN HERE!, 200 meters ahead and just before a sharp corner, you will need to turn left following the sign for ‘La Lachuza’. Be Careful of oncoming traffic.

9 - At 35.4 km take that left turning for ‘La Lechuza’ onto a country lane passing a large, square, yellow house on your left. At 36 km there is a fork (with sports court on your left) – bear left at this fork and at the next fork 50 meters ahead bear right and in front on your right is Las Calas. Park just before the wooden entrance gates and ring the bell; someone will open the gates so you can drive trough the gates and park inside.
