Hotel las Nieves
The Las Nieves is a three star hotel which has recently been completely restored. It was, in fact, originally two buildings, and so boasts two fine facades. The hotel has also been completely refurbished throughout.
Although the hotel has been restored, it still preserves the typical elements from houses of the mid-19th century, such as its Andalusian patios. The establishment thus fulfils the highest requirements of the culturally minded tourist.
The hotel is situated on the corner of two streets in the very heart of Granada, Alhondiga St. and Sierpe Baja St. The Cathedral is approximately 2 min. walking distance away and the road leading up to the Alhambra Palace approx. 5 mins.
Although the establishment is in the middle of the commercial and social centre of the city, one can still find peace and tranquility, as the two streets in which the hotel is located are quiet after the shops shut. Furthermore, all rooms are double glazed with the Climatic system.
The current proprietors of the hotel, the Vera family, come from a family with a long tradition in the hotel trade. The owners don Mariano and doña Paquitina were, indeed, born and brought up in it.
The Vera family acquired Las Nieves in the 40s, it was originally a hostel, but later converted into a two star hotel. With a family tradition such as this it’s not surprising our guests receive a caring personalized service, in a warm family atmosphere.
