Balmers is the oldest private hostel in Switzerland, founded in 1945 and with time and experience we have been able to give thousands of backpackers an experience and memories they will carry with them forever. Nearby are a variety of activities in winter and summer, the #1 nightspot in Interlaken and we have plenty of communal areas to hang out with those you meet, to share stories. We offer a clean, friendly environment, with staff that offer excellent information on the area, and what it offers. Interlaken, situated between two enormous lakes, at the foot of the Alps, is hard to beat for beauty and scenery. Join us, and see for yourselves what a breathtaking area we live in, and how much fun it can be. Check-in into private rooms is from 12:30 onwards. Please note that Dormitory rooms are closed from 10:30 to 14:00for cleaning and security purposes.
