DirectionsGeneral Directions from the Main Train Station:
Once you are at the HB = Hauptbahnhof = main station you have to find the exit leading you to the Bahnhofstrasse, you will find a couple of exits that will take you there from inside the station. Once on the Bahnhofstrasse you have to walk about 400 meters (410 yards approx.) or 4 minutes down the street (or you can take a 1 minute tram ride towards Rennweg stop). Once you get to the intersection of Bahnhofstrasse and Uraniastrasse you will see in front of you a bank (UBS), get across and look for the English Book Shop which will take you directly to Rennweg street. From there you just have to walk up the road. On your left you will see a Starbucks coffee and a few meters down you will find on your left hand side Fortunagassse. Look for building 36 and then buzz on the Mario Leonel AVILA (airbnb) button.
From the Airport:
Zurich International Airport lies 13 kilometres north of the
city centre.
To get to town: The easiest and fastest way to get to and
from the airport is by train. Take one of the fast trains or
slower S-trains leaving from the underground train station
near terminals 1 and 2 - if the sign on the platform reads Zu¨rich
HB (HB = Hauptbahnhof = main station), it’s the right train.
Up to ten trains leave an hour and the journey takes roughly
ten minutes. Tickets can be bought at the counters or at the
ticket machines (switch them to English on the first screen)
next to the stairs leading down to the platforms. A ticket for
an adult is 6.60Sfr and valid for one hour in the whole city
(3 zones). If you plan to do more travelling by public transport,
make it a 24 hour ticket for just twice the price.
A taxi ride to central Zurich costs around 60Sfr. Taxi stands
are just outside Arrivals 1 and 2. Only licensed taxis are
allowed to pick up passengers. They are generally safe
and reliable.
Arriving by train:
Zurich’s main train station, referred to by locals as HB (short
for Hauptbahnhof, say haa-bay), is right in the centre of the
city. All international and domestic trains leave and arrive
here. From the platforms just follow the herd towards the
main hall, where you will find ticket offices and the tourist
information. Trams, buses and taxis leave just outside
the station.
Arriving by bus:
Buses from other European countries arrive at the bus
station (Bus Terminal Sihlquai, E-1), two minutes walk
north from the main train station.
Arriving by car:
The Swiss highways A1, A2, A3 and A4 lead from all
directions to Zurich and if you follow the signs to Zurich
City the city centre is quite easy to reach. But parking is
scarce and very expensive. Car parks and hotels charge
up to 40Sfr for 24 hours and you can hardly find other
parking spaces where you can leave your car for more
than 90 minutes. For overnight parking you can try to
find a slot in the so-called blue zone in residential areas
- parking there is free from 20:00 - 08:00, indicate your
arrival time on your parking disk.

Such attractions include the Chanzengraben quarter, the Landesmuseum, the Grossmünster Church and the famous Fraumünster Church. Shopping and eating are only a few meters away since the world famous Bahnhofstrasse and Rennweg are only 1 minute away by foot. The beautiful lake side Lindenhof Park is at your doorstep (you can see it from your window). You can see directly out your window the biggest mechanical clock in Europe at St. Peter Church (St. Peterskirche) which is only 4 minutes away. The romantic and lovely lakeside promenade is located also a few minutes by foot. Niederdorf street and its lovely restaurants and bars is only 5 minutes by foot or 2 by tram.
This place is unique in its architectural style, comfort, location, amenities and privacy. You won't find better comfort and location in Zurich for your stay at this reasonable price.
