Imagine a place where lush green vegetation comes almost to the beach; where a sweep of sand fringes clear blue sea; where fields, mountains and forests are a backdrop to small houses of wood and stone which seem as one with the natural landscape. This is Çirali, a small village by the sea, which retains something of the spirit of traditional seaside holidays

Çirali is an area of natural and manmade marvels. Olympos and Phaselis, two of the great cities of the ancient world are now romantic ruins by the sea and Yanartas (known as the burning mountain and once believed to be the breath of the mythical Chimaera) has flamed from rock fissures since time began.

An open-air market at Kumluca has colourful stalls and delicious local food. This is an area of outstanding natural beauty and a paradise for both walkers and explorers alike.
Çirali has a large sandy beach, extending for about three kilometers. It is one of the few protected beaches where the loggerhead sea turtles Caretta-Caretta lay their eggs. The Caretta-Caretta turtle can reach 1.2 metresin length with a weight of about 100 kg. It has become protected as an endangered species in the Mediterranean Sea. As one walks towards the Akdere creek and the Olympos site, the wide sandy beach covered with pine trees, turns into a pebble beach.
